The effect of deoxidation with Si – Al – Fe alloy is proved to be good. Compared with aluminum deoxidation, the yield of aluminum is higher, the amount of residual aluminum is easy to control, and the shape of inclusions is also improved.
After the use of silicon aluminum alloy, the element recovery rate is high, mainly because of the increase of alloy specific gravity, aluminum specific gravity of 2.7g/cm3, silicon aluminum iron (FeAl30Si20) specific gravity of 3.5-4.2g/cm3, steel slag specific gravity is generally 2.8-3.2g/cm3, so the alloy will sink below the slag surface after adding, The reaction of aluminum with air and oxygen in slag is controlled effectively.
The effect of deoxidation is good, it is generally believed that complex deoxidation products are generated, and the activity of oxides is reduced, which is conducive to the deoxidation reaction. In addition, it is easy to form a low melting point phase, so that the inclusion is easy to polymerization, promote the removal of floating. The total aluminum content of the steel is higher than that of the latter, while the acid-soluble aluminum of the latter is higher than that of the former. This shows that the aluminum oxide inclusion is greatly reduced when the ferrosilicon is used.
